The Fabric of Society

For Those who dream and think of a better World

The Fabric of Society is not made of steel mesh, nor of unbreakable thread of mystical strength. It is made of the mutual desire of human beings to live in a particular place that they and their ancestors helped to fashion in the nation’s mind. It is composed of experience from wars, truces, debates, gains and losses, but there have also been outstanding achievements in music, literature, art, medical discoveries, and many smaller ideas or inventions that benefit mankind. Picture if you will a log book of our nation, enriched by the efforts of people who seek those “Higher purposes than mere praise and reward”.

Many people pass their lives simply taking the ‘fabric of their society’ for granted. The fact that many are unaware of this precious fabric, is evidence of how well the human mind has woven this ‘cloth’ that comforts the whole of society However; after decades of change, we now need a gentle definition to serve as a reminder of what we have achieved. ‘A society is the willing gathering together of like-minded people for generally acceptable purposes.’ The fabric of society is the ‘soul’ of the nation. As in the case of the human soul, we are messaged from within as to what is right and what is wrong, who we are, and what is expected of us.

Great Britain is a Christian Society, where the ‘church’ once defined human standards and ethical values, but not so much today. Political leaders were also expected to uphold these values, but not anymore, most of them seem unaware they exist. The press joined by the BBC and other broadcasters formerly upheld our values, but not anymore. Their own importance is smothering the needs of the people. I believe it’s time for this ‘Christian’ nation to realise who they are, and what they stand for, and from this vantage point, share the beauty of their fabric with the world.

Jesus said, “Set my people free”, “Love one another” and “Suffer the little children to come unto me”, and the ‘authorities’ crucified Him. The reason they did this is found in John 14.6, ‘I am the truth’. The human race should understand that “without honesty, they will revert to stealing each other’s bananas”. Without honesty we are not human. Next comes responsibility, justice, freedom, and these disciplines are the seeds that bring forth the joys of life, sharing and caring, friendship, laughter and love.

Then “Suffer the little children to come unto me’” If any population wishes to establish and strengthen the fabric of their society, then without question it begins with opening the doors of life to the conception to age five group. It is known that 85% of a child’s character is formed during these first five years. Simple math’s shows this leaves only 15% for school years, thus 0 – 5 is ten times more important than school. New life, with its new perspectives and inventiveness, is nature’s way of refreshing the way humans think. There should be a general awareness that it is parents’ responsibility to teach their child honesty, responsibility, justice and other human standards; and nurture the child’s creativity and imagination.

“Love one another”, embraces the definition of a society, ‘The willing gathering together of like-minded people fore generally acceptable purposes” As to ‘Love one another’ lovers might get nearer to God in bed than in church” Love gives the mind greater purpose, and motivates us all in truly wonderful ways.

“Set my People Free” is not about opening the doors of a prison, it is about opening the doors of our minds. Jesus was sent down to teach us how to live a happy life on earth. To have 96 % of the people going out to work, in order to pay the wages of 4% of people who work from home, is not ‘generally acceptable’ Permanent queues for operations, is not ‘like-minded’. Our MP’s Oath of Allegiance to the Sovereign, surely prohibits any disposal of our sovereignty? These are vital issues that affect our quality of life, yet no one is in charge. Our nation should follow the P.E.P.P. equation, ‘People + Enterprise = Progress and Prosperity. this is a method of continuous improvement, yet politics often tries to take us backwards. The elite believe they can do as they please, but in a democracy they cannot.

The internet has made all poor nations aware of the ‘Western’ nation’s wealth, and I suspect Christ would understand why they want to share in it. This is a world problem, the fabric of the rich nations of Europe is being damaged by the influx of immigrants. The only way to stop the desperation of economic immigrants, is to create better opportunities in their counties of origin. The ‘west’ must fund much needed infrastructure, create business opportunities, and bring peace to their home countries. Europe must get involved with poor nations, and bring an end to internal wars and injustice. The rich nations need to replace despair with hope. Our ‘Creator’ gave us a brain to think with. I earnestly suggest we use it; wake up: come alive, and live the life your creator intended.

Love and Blossoms.
